From January 27–31, Walker Hotels invites you to celebrate the Lunar New Year tradition of red envelopes with a modern twist.
Every guest checking in at Walker Hotel Greenwich Village or Walker Hotel Tribeca will receive a limited-edition red envelope filled with special prizes:
- Up to $500 in cash
- A complimentary dinner at Society Cafe or Mostrador
- Or a free stay at one of our boutique hotels!
About the Artist:
These exclusive envelopes are the result of a collaboration with the Asian American Arts Alliance (A4) and Brooklyn-based artist Gentle Oriental, aka Gabrielle Widjaja. Known for their stunning graphic designs and tattoo art, Gabrielle draws inspiration from traditional Chinese motifs, the Year of the Snake, and Walker’s own iconic branding.
Immerse yourself in one of New York City’s most iconic Lunar New Year traditions—the Chinatown Parade and Festival!
Celebrate the vibrant sights and sounds of Lunar New Year, including lion dances, cultural performances, and more. Don’t miss the festival booths on Bayard Street (11:30 AM–3:30 PM) featuring local vendors, food, and interactive activities.
This event, organized by Better Chinatown USA, marks the culmination of Lunar New Year celebrations that begin January 29 with a firecracker ceremony and cultural festival.
